    Hi

I'd like to see a resource section in this website where people can go to for information.

I have some personal finance, investment money saving books that I'd be happy to share / donate. Is this something that this organisation requires?

In terms of the internet, I found few online resources that had a Singapore focus so most of my personal online research was largely based on foreign websites.  Here's some on saving money:

    a. moneycentral's personal finance / investment section -

    http://moneycentral.msn.com/personal-finance/

there are scores of articles there on tips on saving money - some applicable to our Singapore context; some not

    b. "Money Diet" written by a British guy Martin Lewis-i found useful tips to curb spending / impulse shopping / cutting bills etc - again all from the UK context  but ideas are useful.  In fact i found this book at a second hand bookshop.  He's even got an excel sheet where you can do your budgeting  etc.  Here is his website

    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/

    c. "Start late finish rich" - by david bach - was another book i read on how we can make every cent count - this writer calls it the "Latte factor" because if we cut back on one small item each day e.g. taking a cab to work - annualy this may add up to $2 k to $3k a year .... "small savings will add up" was the basic premise of his book

    d. Locally - sadly- i have only found Mr Tan's website and the related links-hence - i hope others can share useful web based or book resources

    regards, m

Hi m, I run an office for startups and small companies in waterloo, we put together a small "library" of books on marketing, entrepreneurship. I have a small collection on personal finance books as well. I bought some of the books, some written by local authors as well. It will be nice to share some of these books. We have an informal partnership with the National Library Board, and they are also on the FESC committee from Moneysense to promote financial literacy We can organise sessions to share on different financial education topics at the libraries.
