My stockbroker sent me this chart showing the yields on corporate bonds.
Most of the bonds have an annual yield between 2.5% to 4%.
Some are perpetual bonds, but have a callable date. This allows the issuer to redeem the bonds earlier and pay a premium.
The other bonds have a maturity date within the next 10 years.
I prefer to invest in blue chip shares that gives a dividend yield above 3%. The shares also have the chance of capital appreciation.
